Founder and General Overseer of the Action Chapel International, Archbishop Nicholas Duncan-Williams, has said the outcome of the December 2024 election is a victory not only for the NDC.
Speaking at the National Prayer and Thanksgiving Service held in Accra Sunday, January 12, 2025, he said the victory is also for democracy and the entire nation.
He has therefore advised the appointees and government officials who will be working with the Mahama administration not to forget the people that voted for them.
The man of God told the officials to have a cordial relationship with Ghanaians just as the President and his wife both respect people.
“This victory is the victory for democracy, Ghana and the NDC. Be relational; the President and his wife are not transactional. Don’t forget the people who voted for you. This President and his wife do not forget. President Mahama and his wife love this country,” he advised.
The Archbishop further expressed hope that Ghana under a Mahama leadership will be transformed to reduce the incessant migration that has engulfed the nation as a result of bad leadership.
He expects a nation where jobs will be created to reduce the rate at which people travel outside the country to seek greener pastures.
“I look forward to a Ghana under President Mahama where the atmosphere is conduced for prosperity where Ghanaians will not queue for visas to leave the country,” he prayed.
In his definition of providing justice for the people, Duncan-Williams urged the new leadership to reward good deed and punish those who sin against the country.
“Justice means rewarding people for the good done and punishing people for the wrong done,” he advised further.
