Ghana’s Legislature has initiated the registration process for Members of Parliament-elect for the 9th Parliament of the Fourth Republic.
A Tuesday, December 24, 2024 statement issued by the House stated that the session of the process will commence on Wednesday, December 25, 2024.
The release added that it would be followed by an in-person registration which will take between January 02 and January 06, 2025.
Portions of the statement said “targeted messages inviting members will be sent to members elect via WhatsApp or emails. Physical registration will start on Thursday 2nd January 2025 and end on 6th January 2025.
“Members who may need further clarifications or assistance may contact the officers in charge of the registration exercise on telephone number 055 022 2200 or 0503634466.”
The registration process is a key step in preparing for the swearing-in of the new Parliament on Tuesday, January 07, 2025.
