Churches in the country have been entreated to invest their proceeds in agriculture instead of financial institutions.

According to the head pastor of Visional Revival Healing Church International, Rev. Godfred Nyamekye, the churches, if adopt this practice, will contribute to job creation and development of the country.

With some few days left to end the year 2022, Rev. Nyamekye has entreated heads of various churches in the country to add a policy he has termed “Church Farm Plantation” in their new year resolutions for 2023.

“My advice to our churches and pastors is that each church should cultivate a farmland and invest in farming instead of investing monies gotten from the church in banks. We have church members who can operate the tractor and other agricultural machines whiles others are very talented when it comes to farming activities. So such an initiative can help create jobs for our members and provide food for the country rather worshiping our monies in the banks,” he advised.

He noted many pastors are from farming communities but have abandoned the activity due to their current status.

“Most of our pastors are from families that farming is their only source of livelihood. But because of their positions in church and their stay in the cities, they have pretended not to know anything about agriculture. Even individuals that have been won for Christ should not be allowed to idle in the house of the Lord but should be engaged in something profitable. Let’s take inspiration from Apostle Safo Kantanka and with this policy, we can even win more souls for Christ.

“We can help fight food insecurity and provide employment for our members if we initiate this in 2023. We can even donate to Children’s homes, orphanages and other less privileged individuals in the communities with the proceeds from these church farms. James and other prophets in the Bible will feed if you sit idle and you cannot receive your blessings or realize your prophesies if you don’t put in a effort. Heaven helps those who help themselves,” he stressed.
