An GH¢8.6 billion approved by Parliament to settle customers of the collapsed Gold Coast Fund Management Company has not yet been paid, forcing the affected persons to spend the night at the entrance of the Ministry of Finance Tuesday, October 10, 2023.

This was to register their grievances to the authorities to appreciate the need to release their locked-up funds for them.

Coming from across various parts of the country, the customers vowed to spend 48 hours at the office to drum home their demands but were not given any attention by the ministry.

The purpose for spending the night over at the ministry, according to convenor of the group, Charles Nyame, is to send a strong signal to the government to fulfill its responsibility of paying them their money.
