Fire has ravaged several shops at the Kantamanto market in Accra Tuesday morning, November 29, 2022.
Shops and goods worth thousands of cedis were lost to the inferno.
The cause of the fire has not been established yet.
About 200 shops according to eyewitnesses were engulfed by the flames.
During their attempt to douse the flames, eyewitnesses say the Ghana National Fire Service ran out of water, foiling their mission.
Reports indicate about 9 fire tenders were dispatched to the scene to quench the fire.
Some vendors stood by helpless as their wares burnt on, waiting for the respite to count their losses.
