The Minister of Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has presented the 2025 Mid-Year budget to Parliament.

The Speaker of the House, Alban Sumana Bagbin has referred the financial statement to the Finance and Budget Committee of the House.

Before Dr Forson could present the policy statement though, members of the Minority side of the House walked out. They cited the Speaker’s decision no to allow them to make a statement on the violence that occurred in the Ablekuma North Constituency during a rerun of parliamentary election in 19 polling stations.

The Minority then proceeded to the Jubilee House to present a petition on the same subject to President John Mahama. The Petition was received by the Chief of Staff, Julius Debrah and his two deputies- Nana Oye Bampoe-Addo and Stan Dogbe.

During his nearly 3 hours presentation, Dr Forson painted a very bright picture about the state of the economy.

“The coming days can only be better,” he summed up the presentation.
