The Diaspora Summit 2025 is a global platform convened by the Government of Ghana to advance a united call for reparative justice, healing, and the restoration of dignity for Africans and people of African descent worldwide.

The Summit themed “Resetting Ghana – The Diaspora as the 17th Region”, is a high-level convening of global Ghanaian and Pan-African diaspora communities, policymakers, private sector actors, and development stakeholders.

The summit is designed to institutionalize diaspora engagement as a strategic pillar of national development, positioning the diaspora not merely as contributors of remittances but as active partners in governance, investment, innovation, and cultural promotion.

The summit is underway at the Accra International Conference Centre (AICC) and has been scheduled for December 19 -December 20, 2025.

Rooted in the understanding that the legacies of slavery, colonialism, racial violence, and systemic dispossession continue to shape contemporary economic and social conditions, the Summit engages Heads of State, thought leaders, scholars, activists, cultural institutions, and diaspora communities in charting a future grounded in justice and historical truth.
