The People’s National Convention (PNC) has opened nominations for prospective candidates to pick forms ahead of its presidential primaries.

Nomination forms for national positions will also be available for picking.

These were decided upon during an emergency National Executive Committee (NEC) meeting on Saturday, August 10.

According to a press release issued by the Acting General Secretary of the party, Prince Agyemang Duah, NEC has constituted a Congress Committee as well as various ad hoc committees for the primaries.

The primaries, which will also be the Congress for the party, have been scheduled for Saturday, August 31.

“Candidates interested in vying for any national executive positions or the flagbearer position of the party can pick up nominations form at the party headquarters from Monday, 12th August, 2024 to Saturday, 17th of August 2024,” the party said in its press release.

The party had earlier announced fees for each position available.

“However, the party wishes to inform its rank and file as well as the public that the National Congress has been decentralized to the various regional capitals where voting and collation of results would be done owing to unavoidable reasons.”

The PNC was represented in the last presidential elections by David Apasera.
