The President of the Republic of Ghana has appointed Prof. Anthony Owusu-Ansah as the Acting Executive Secretary of the Lands Commission.

The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was made in accordance with Article 195(1) of the Constitution and Section 24(1) of the Lands Commission Act, 2008 (Act 767).

A formal letter dated April 14, 2025, and signed by Callistus Mahama, Ph.D., Secretary to the President, communicated the appointment to Prof. Owusu-Ansah.

The letter stated that the appointment is pending the constitutionally required advice of the Commission, given in consultation with the Public Services Commission.

In the letter, the Presidency extended formal congratulations to Prof. Owusu-Ansah and requested him to confirm his acceptance or otherwise within seven days of receipt of the letter.
