Mrs Rebecca Akufo-Addo, wife to Former President Akufo -Addo has condoled with the family of Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings who died on Thursday October 23, 2025.
In a Facebook post on October 23, Mrs Akufo-Addo, herself a former First Lady, paid tribute to Ghana’s foremost First Lady in the fourth Republic.
“My deepest condolences to the family and friends of the former First Lady Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings in these difficult times. May her soul rest in peace,” she wrote.

Mrs Agyeman-Rawlings passed at the Ridge Hospital in Accra after a short illness.
She is known for her advocacy role for women empowerment and skills development.
She is survived by her four children. Zenator, Yaa Asantewaa , Amina and Kimathi Agyeman-Rawlings.
Meanwhile, the family of the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings has requested for privacy to mourn their beloved following her demise.
At a brief press conference at the residence of the late Nana Konadu Agyeman-Rawlings in Ridge, Accra, the family head, Oheneba Akwasi Abeyie announced that further notices about the burial Ghana’s First female presidential candidate will be announced by the President.
He added that Asantehene Otumfuo Osei Tutu II has also been informed accordingly of the passing of the wife of the late former President Jerry John Rawlings.
The family informed His Excellency the President and subsequently informed the Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, Asantehene. His Excellency the President has caused a statement to be made confirming Nana Konadu’s death.

“At this stage, the family is obviously in mourning and we will crave your indulgence to give us some privacy. All further notices will be relayed by the government,” the family head stated.
