Rev. Anthony Boakye (Mrs) of the Resurrection Power New Generation Ministries has left the church which belongs to her husband to form her own church.

This according to reports is as a results of some power struggle between some leaders of the church and the wife following the husband’s prolonged ailment.

The Kasoa-based headquartered church has suffered leadership crises since the illness of Rev. Anthony Boakye, the founder and leader of the church began.

In a viral CCTV video, Mrs. Boakye is allegedly captured in a confrontation with the leadership of the church over supposed donations made by some church members.

Another footage also, allegedly indicate the woman’s attempt to break into an office of the church to secure funds.

Latest reports has it that the woman who couldn’t bear the brunt of the leadership anymore has formed her own church to save herself the trouble of having to battle for proceeds from the industry.

Mrs. Boakye’s new church is situated in Kumasi, the Ashanti Regional capital.

The Founder’s attempt to transfer the brother of his wife who was heading the Ashanti Region branches of the church was also resisted by members of the church in the region.

An October 10, 2022 letter from Bishop Anthony Boakye informing Pastor Stephen Oware of his transfer to the Upper East region could not be delivered successfully following the hooting and booing at officials who went to deliver the transfer message as sighted in a video posted by one Ekuonaba TV.

“I send you greetings in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, this letter comes to serve you as a notice that you have been transferred as the Regional Head of the Church in the Ashanti Region to head the branch of the church in Zogor in the Upper East Region.

“In light of your transfer, you are by this notice directed not to take any major decision including receiving any church funds from the various stations within the Ashanti Region.

“You are to report at your new station within a month from the date of this notice.

“Thank you for the service rendered in coordinating the affairs of the church in the Ashanti Region for these past years.

“I wish you well in your endeavours at your new station,” a copy of the transfer letter read.
