The Rotary Club of Accra-Cantonments has organized a career mentorship programme for students at Christian Methodist Senior High School and Presbyterian Senior High School, Osu.
The initiative aimed to provide students with essential guidance in making informed career choices while educating them on the opportunities and challenges associated with different professions.
The mentorship session brought together professionals from various fields to share their experiences and offer practical advice to the students. The programme focused on helping students identify their strengths, understand career requirements, and explore different vocati onal opportunities.
Additionally, it sought to empower the youth with knowledge on how to serve society diligently in their chosen careers.
Interim President of the Rotary Club, Adubea Mensah Bonsu, encouraged the students to actively pursue their passions and dreams.
She emphasized the importance of continuous learning and self-improvement, urging them to seek further education and professional development opportunities to stay competitive in their respective fields.

As part of the mentorship session, award-winning broadcast journalist, Aisha Yakubu, shared her personal journey in the media industry. She spoke about the challenges she faced and how perseverance, self-belief, and hard work contributed to her success. She inspired the students to be confident in their abilities, remain determined, and embrace opportunities for growth.
The career mentorship programme was well received by the students, who expressed their appreciation for the valuable insights gained. Many of them noted that the session had broadened their understanding of career choices and given them the confidence to make informed decisions about their future paths.
The Rotary Club of Accra-Cantonments reaffirmed its commitment to youth development and pledged to continue organizing similar mentorship programmes to equip students with the knowledge and skills needed for a successful future.
