Relegated Real Tamale United (RTU) have appointed Isaac Kofi Sarfo, popularly called Sarfo Castro, as their new coach.
The appointment comes amid a decision to part ways with coach Iddi Manzah Alhassan, who took over from suspended Abdul Mumin Abdulai in the 2023/24 league following match-fixing allegations.
Sarfo Castro has been contracted for one season with one objective: “To qualify [RTU] back to the Premier League.”
RTU returned to the elite league in 2021 after eight years of life in the lower division.
However, after picking only 25 points in 34 games in the 2023/24 season, the Pride of the North were relegated.
They joined Great Olympics and Bofoakwa Tano FC as the relegated sides.
They will return to Zone 1 of Division One to fight for a place back to the top-flight.
