Techiman Eleven (XI) Wonders FC have become the third side from Division One to gain promotion to the Ghana Premier League (GPL).
The Bono East Region side on Friday, May 30 beat Real Tamale United (RTU) 2-1 in the Zone One play-off to secure the final ticket to the top division.
A goal by Frank Awere in the 13th minute saw the winners of Zone 1B lead by a 1-0 into the break.
But RTU, who were seeking a return to the top-flight after just one season in the lower division, equalised from the spot in the second half.
But with a couple of minutes to go, referee Selorm Yao Bless whistled for an infringement in the penalty area of the Pride of the North, much to the chagrin of their fans.
Farouk Ameyaw stepped up to convert the penalty to give Eleven Wonders a win.
They return to the top-flight league after three seasons.
They, therefore, join Swedru All Blacks and Hohoe United as the new clubs to play in the 2025/26 season.
