Seattle United ECNL defender Alexandra Tay has been called up to join the Black Princesses in camp as they prepare for the 2024 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup in Colombia.

The country’s U-20 women’s team has been in pre-tournament camping since June ahead of the 11th edition of the tournament.

Yusif Basigi’s girls have been based in Cape Coast for the camping.

On Tuesday, the team welcomed “the newest addition” to the defence.

Alexandra Tay has been with Seattle United ECNL for the past couple of years and is known for her strong character.

She will train with the 10 already called-up defenders for a place in the final squad of the team.

Ghana will begin her campaign in Group E against Austria on Monday, September 2, before playing Japan and New Zealand later.
