Black Stars striker Antoine Semenyo scored the winner for AFC Bournemouth in their English Premier League Matchday 4 encounter against Brighton & Hove Albion.
Semenyo scored from the spot in the second half to give the Cherries their third successive win after the opening-day loss to Liverpool.
Alex Scott scored first in the first half.
The Seagulls, however, equalised three minutes from the break through Japanese striker Kaoru Mitoma.
But a penalty awarded the hosts just after an hour of play at the Vitality Stadium gave them the opportunity to restore their lead.
Semenyo, who scored a brace on the opening day of the season, stepped up to convert for his side.
The match ended 2-1.
Bournemouth’s next match will be against Newcastle United on Sunday, September 21 while Brighton welcome Tottenham Hotspur to the American Express Stadium.
