Ghanaian dancehall musician, Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has reacted to the FBI’s arrest of business mogul, Kofi Boat over an alleged million-dollar fraud scheme.
On June 18, 2025, reports from several media outlets stated that Kofi Boat, and two accomplices have been taken into custody by the FBI in relation to a $100 million fraud scheme.

Shatta Wale was seen crying in the video as he strongly defended Kofi Boat, refuting the accusations.
He noted that Kofi Boat has been connected to the fraudulent conduct due to a failed business.
He prayed to God for His intervention in Kofi Boat’s matter.
“God, if you are there, make people know that Kofi Boat is not a scammer. Herh! Kofi
Boat. Mama Joyce, I make sorry. I feel bad charlie. Sake of Kofi, I no dey sleep,” he lamented in pidgin.
Shatta Wale further extended his sympathy to Kofi Boat’s wife and his children.
“I dey picture Kofi Boat in kiddies and I no dey fit. Who told you Kofi Boat is a scammer? It is just a business that went wrong. What do you mean? Do you mean that (sic) Kofi Boat will sit behind a computer and browse?
“But that is how the world is. If you don’t take (sic) care, you can do one wrong business; that is why I am careful. That is why I don’t make friends anymore,” he added.
