Some armed robbers have intercepted a Sunyani-Kumasi-bound bus with registration number GG 4181-16, robbing at least, 20 passengers at gunpoint.
The incident is reported to have occurred around 1:00 a.m. on Friday, September 12, 2025, between Tweapease and Mfensi, near the Moments of Glory Prayer Army (MOGPA).
The armed men, numbering five, according to a victim who was onboard the bus, blocked the road and ordered the passengers to hand them their belongings.
Although no casualties have been reported, the victims who were left traumatised, were robbed of their belongings including money, mobile phones, and other valuables.
The Kumasi Sunyani road has recorded series of robberies due to its deplorable nature, making it a hub for robbers to perpetuate their crimes.
Although several calls have come from commuters to duty-bearers over the years, the situation remains same, giving robbers the leeway to rob unsuspected users.
