Paramount Chief of Sunyani, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II has announced his plans to establish an Educational Fund for the Sunyani Traditional Area.
“This initiative is designed to provide crucial financial support to brilliant but needy students within the community” he emphasized.
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen KorKor II made the disclosure last Sunday, August 24, 2025 when he paid a special visit to the Ebenezer Presbyterian Church in Sunyani.
The esteemed traditional ruler was accompanied by a distinguished entourage comprising sub-chiefs, queen mothers, family members, and close friends.
The Sunyani Manhene was warmly welcomed by the church with a special welcome climax by the Boys’ and Girls’ Brigades of the church through a special parade. This gesture by the Brigade was such an exciting spectacle to behold.
During the service, Reverend Benjamin Kyeremeh, the Presbytery Chairman, addressed the congregation.
He publicly commended the Chief for his exemplary leadership and positive influence within the Sunyani Traditional Area, albeit, the short period he has been on the throne as the Paramount Chief of Sunyani.
In his address, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II expressed his profound gratitude to the church community and its leadership for their constant support and prayers. He also took the opportunity to make several important appeals and announcements:
He was grateful to the church for it’s contribution to education in the Sunyani Traditional Area. He further pleaded with the church to continuously support its school, emphasizing the importance of education and for that matter the relevance of their schools within the Sunyani Traditional Area.
The church congregation demonstrated their appreciation and respect for the overlord of Sunyani Traditional Area by presenting him with various gifts to conclude the memorable visit.
