The nationwide supply, training and subsequent distribution of laptops to teachers have successfully been completed.
According to KA Technologies Ghana Limited, distributors of the computers, a 24-hour aftercare service will be provided to all beneficiaries.
This service, according to the distributors, will see the provision of continuous customer and technical assistance.
A user-friendly application, katcare App, has also been designed to aid in filing complaints and purchasing accessories.
The laptops were handed to qualified teachers including those in Kindergarten, primary, junior high and senior high schools as well as non-teaching staff under the Ghana Education Service (GES).
“We wish to express our profound gratitude to the teacher unions, Ghana National Association of Teachers (GNAT), National Association of Graduate Teachers (NAGRAT) and the Coalition of Concerned Teachers (CCT), stakeholders and partners of KA Technologies.
“We are particularly grateful to the government, Ministry of Education, the Ghana Education Service and the regulatory institutions.”
The laptops were distributed under the ‘One-Teacher, One-Laptop’ programme.
