The Yunyoo Police Command has confirmed the arrest of Kwesi Bik Nelson for his alleged involvement in an attempted murder case stemming from a violent confrontation on Thursday, June 5, 2025.
The police stated that during the altercation, Nelson inflicted serious injuries on the victim by stabbing him with a dagger multiple times, resulting in wounds to the head and stomach.
Emergency services quickly transported the victim to the Baptist Medical Centre (BMC) in Nalerigu, where he is currently receiving medical attention.
The suspect is currently in police custody, where he is assisting with the ongoing investigation. Authorities have indicated that he will soon be brought before the court to face the charges against him.
According to some residents the incident has raised concerns within the community, prompting a call for enhanced safety measures.
