A 72-year-old man has allegedly committed suicide at Agric Junction, a community in the Sekondi Takoradi Metropolis of the Western region.
Eyewitness says they saw the incident early Saturday morning, April 29, 2023, with the man hanging in an uncompleted building.
“He is a security in the uncompleted building he has committed the suicide. He comes around in the morning to change the one on night duty. So he came early this morning and no one knows what caused him to commit suicide. We only saw his lifeless body hanging there,” an eyewitness, Osofo Emma indicated.

The body of the man is hanging around a window on the last floor of an uncompleted building he is said to be working as a security.
His brother, Haruna Seidu indicates he received the sad report in the morning. According to him, the deceased has two children and has been showing signs of suicide lately.
“He came to me last night and said he died but did not see any of our family members who are no more. He has been behaving strangely lately and we believe he has harboured the suicide intentions already. He has two children and separated with his wife,” he added.
Officers from the Kojokrom Police Command have since reported to the scene to begin investigations.
