Black Stars defender Tariq Lamptey has agreed a one-year contract extension with his club, Brighton & Hove Albion.

The deal was sealed on Monday, June 9.

After making his debut for the Seagulls in 2020, the Ghanaian has made 122 appearances, scoring five goals and providing 12 assists.

“We’re delighted Tariq is staying with us,” said coach Fabian Hurzeler.

“He wants to help the team achieve our targets and gives us great options in wide areas.”

The manager expressed desire to see the former Chelsea trainee as part of their journey next season.

Brighton also announced similar contract extensions for five other players including Harry Mills and Odel Offiah.
