Students of Tatale Senior High School in the Northern region have arrested a storekeeper attempting to steal some foodstuffs belonging to the students from the school’s stores.
The incident has drawn public attention following a viral video showing the storekeeper holding food items while the students shout at him.
Reports indicate the students had laid ambush after suspecting that some food supplies were being taken from the store.
They discovered that the storekeeper, along with another individual, was allegedly attempting to remove the items when the students confronted them.
“When the students shouted, the storekeeper ran away, leaving the other man behind,” a source familiar with the incident said.
The case has been reported to the Northern Regional Director of Education, who has directed a full investigation into the matter.
Meanwhile, authorities at Tatale Senior High School have confirmed the incident, saying investigations are currently underway to unravel the entire situation.
