A professional teacher in his 40s has been arrested by the police for allegedly butchering one of his pupil at Wassa Sompre in the Western region.
The incident occurred Wednesday, November 30, 2022 around 7pm.

Eyewitnesses say four (4) male students in the same school with the teacher allegedly went to the teacher’s maize farm to steal some maize.
Through a tip-off, the teacher went to the farm to see the four students in his maize farm and chased them off with a cutlass.
One of the students who couldn’t ran fast was left behind and butchered by the teacher.
But for the crying of the pupil which drew the attention of neighbours to come to his aid, the teacher might have taken his life after butchering him.
The student is currently receiving treatment at the Dompre Hospital while the suspect –teacher –has been arrested by the Police at Wassa Sompre.
Police have refused to disclose the identity of the teacher for now for security reasons.
