Sammy Flex, manager of Reggae Dancehall artiste, Shatta Wale has refuted reports suggesting Shatta Wale has been banned from performing at same venue and stage with rival artiste, Stonebwoy.

Shatta Wale was prevented from performing at the Wave Africa Artiste Night over the weekend, June 8, the same day Stonebwoy was also billed to perform at the Hilla Limann karaoke concert.

It is imperative to note that since the 2019 brawl between both artistes on the night of the VGMA, both musicians have not been able to perform at same venue and stage.

There have been several incidents where both have been billed to perform at the same concert or event, but one of them had to either withdraw, be prevented or not show up at the concert.

Following the recent situation where authorities of the University of Ghana refrained Shatta Wale from performing at an artiste night on campus, radio presenter Ola Michael claimed that both has signed a bond which prevents them from performing at the same venue and day.

Responding to this claim by Ola Michaels which has since been propagated by some persons, Sammy Flex said the claim by Ola Michael is “false”.

“It is not true that Shatta Wale has signed a bond not to perform on stage with Stonebwoy. There is nothing like that,” Sammy Flex said in a video posted on his YouTube channel on June 11.

“We have to come out and put up the truth. We have to come out and let people know that it is false,” he added.

“Ever since I took the position as Shatta’s Manager, this question when it came up, I had asked my artiste several times and people around several times and none had said they had signed any bond not to perform on any stage.

“And to my artiste, Shatta Wale, the only thing he remembers is that they were told to put up good behaviour which does not mean that they cannot be on the same show,” he stated.

He stressed that “Shatta Wale does not remember signing anything. So why this false narrative?”

Meanwhile, 3News checks with sources say a bond of such nature was signed.

“Yeah, it was part of the bail bond,” the source confirmed.
