The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has charged three players of Ghana Premier League side Nations FC.
The players are goalkeeper Rabin Ousmane Sanon, who was recently adjudged the Best Goalkeeper of the Month, Kofi Mensah and Emmanuel Annor, who was recently sanctioned for revealing an undergarment with the inscription ‘I belong to Jesus’.
Goalkeeper Sanon and Kofi Mensah were accused of assaulting match officials in the Matchday 33 game against Basake Holy Stars.
That match ended abruptly after Nations FC players and officials abandoned the game for a second penalty awarded Holy Stars.
The club has since been docked 3 points and fined GH¢2,500.
Kofi Mensah and Annor have been accused of damaging parts of the tunnel and gates leading to the dressing room of the Ampain AAK II Sports Arena.
“The players have until Friday, 13th June 2025 to respond to the charges.”
