The leadership of the Tree Crops Development Authority (TCDA), led by the Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Andy Osei Okrah, paid a courtesy visit to Blue Skies Ghana Limited to gain deeper insight into the company’s operations and discuss opportunities ahead.
The visit provided a platform to better understand the company’s capacity, key challenges and areas where regulatory support from TCDA could further enhance its operations across the mango value chain.
Management of Blue Skies warmly received the delegation, shared their concerns and perspectives and conducted the team on a comprehensive tour of their facilities, offering firsthand experience of their production processes.
The engagement reflects TCDA’s continued commitment to supporting value chain actors across the tree crops sector.

He emphasized that direct interaction with processors and exporters helps the Authority design responsive policies grounded in operational realities.
Dr Okrah further observed strengthening partnerships between regulators and private sector operators is critical to unlocking the full potential of Ghana’s Tree Crops Sector.
According to him, the mango value chain holds significant promise for job creation, foreign exchange earnings and rural development, particularly when processing and value addition are prioritized.
The engagement also touched on the importance of coordinated efforts across the supply chain, from farmers and aggregators to processors and exporters to ensure quality, traceability and sustainability.
TCDA’s visit underscores it’s resolve to provide the necessary regulatory framework and technical support to improve standards, enhance productivity and boost investor confidence in the sector.
Industry players view the visit as a positive step toward deepening collaboration between public institutions and private enterprises.
As the country continues to position itself as a competitive player in the global fruit processing industry, sustained dialogue and cooperation between stakeholders remain important.
