The National Democratic Congress (NDC) has extended its congratulations to Donald J. Trump following his victory in the United States presidential election.

Trump’s election marks his return to the White House, just four years after his previous term ended.

In an official press statement released by the NDC, the party’s General Secretary, Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, expressed admiration for Trump’s “resounding victory” and viewed the outcome as a positive omen for the NDC’s prospects in Ghana’s upcoming presidential election on December 7.

“The development is a good omen for us in the NDC,” Kwetey stated, noting the parallels between the U.S. and Ghana, where citizens are preparing to choose new leadership.

The NDC sees Trump’s return as a testament to voters’ desire for experienced leadership, a sentiment the party hopes Ghanaian voters will share.

Kwetey emphasized that, much like Americans, Ghanaians are ready for change.

He criticized the current Ghanaian government, highlighting “eight years of insensitivity, corruption, and economic mismanagement.”

The NDC, he said, is committed to offering stability, integrity, and renewed hope for the future of Ghana.

The statement ends with a firm commitment from the NDC to address Ghana’s challenges, promising a brighter future under its potential leadership.
