About 200 students have become the latest beneficiaries of the Maa Lydia Educational Support Scheme.

The Scheme is a brainchild of the Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, Lydia Seyram Alhassan, who doubles as the Minister of Sanitation and Water Resources.

“This initiative reflects my ongoing commitment to supporting the education and development of young people in my constituency,” she stated after Wednesday’s gesture.

The students who enjoyed the latest benevolence of Maa Lydia, as she is affectionately called, are from various universities including University of Ghana, Legon, University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), and Radford University College, all in her constituency.

Some of the beneficiaries are from the Ghana School of Law, Valley View University, University of Education, Winneba (UEW), Pentecost University, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) and Ghana Institute of Management and Public Administration (GIMPA).
