The Vice President, Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang is currently unwell and will be seeking medical care abroad.
This was announced by the Presidency in a statement on March 30, 2025. The statement signed by Minister of Government Communications, Felix Kwakye Ofosu said the Vice President had earlier received treatment at the University of Ghana Medical Centre on Saturday, March 29 due to a sudden illness that occurred after work on Friday, March 28, 2025.
However, based on an opinion of a medical expert, the Vice President will be seeking further care abroad.
“We wish the Vice President a speedy recovery,” the statement noted.
