A young man’s wrists are swollening after he was handcuffed by an alleged police officer who sells alcohol.

He was cuffed for his inability to pay a GH₵2.00 alcohol he purchased from the policeman.

According to the man, the officer, whose name he gave as Opete, has since not been found after putting the cuffs on him.

He says he and a friend purchased ₵2 each of alcohol from Opete and he didn’t have money to pay after his friend settled his own.

Despite promising to pay the money, Opete handcuffed him for owing the ₵2 where several attempts by different police stations to unlock the cuff proved futile.
