The head coach of the Black Queens, Nora Hauptle, says her team is focused and determined to get the much-needed win in their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Namibia.

The match is scheduled to be played on Tuesday, December 5 at the Lucas Moripe Stadium in Pretoria, South Africa.

The Black Queens are going into the game with a 3-1 advantage from the first leg, played at the Accra Sports Stadium last Friday.

Nora Hauptle, who is yet to lose a game since taking charge of the Ghanaian side, says they are aware of the advantage but that will not shift their focus.

“It is good to come with the result in our back pocket down here [but] we are focused, very humble, we are very determined and we will depend on our values and determination,” she said in an interview on Monday, December 4 after the team’s final training session.

She was full of praise for the pitch and assured that “we are a team which likes to play when the ball is rolling fast, so for us everything is ready and we are ready”.

The Queens need at least a draw to book a place in the tournament, which is scheduled to be held in Morocco next year.
