The Minister for Finance, Dr Cassiel Ato Forson, has described the 2025 budget as a people-centred policy document that responds to the needs of Ghanaians.

He pointed out that that the government has taken significant steps to address the country’s economic challenges and improve the welfare of citizens.

“This budget reflects our determination to put the people first, and we will ensure its successful execution for the benefit of all Ghanaians,” he assured.

Dr Forson said this when he contributed to concluding remarks on the 2025 Budget Statement on Tuesday, 25 March in Parliament.

According to Dr Forson, the policies outlined in the budget are designed to provide relief, create jobs, and stimulate economic growth.

“This budget is not just figures on paper; it is a comprehensive plan to address the real concerns of Ghanaians. We have listened, and we are responding with practical solutions,” he declared.

The Finance Minister pointed out key interventions, including increased investment in infrastructure, social welfare, and economic empowerment initiatives.

“The problems of this country did not arise overnight, but we have begun the process of resolving them systematically and sustainably,” he assured.

He urged his colleagues in Parliament and the general public to support the government’s efforts

“National development requires collective commitment,” Dr Forson noted.

He reiterated the administration’s dedication to transparency and accountability.
