General Secretary of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC), Franklin Fifi Fiavi Kwetey, has assured Ghanaians of the next NDC administration using its overwhelming majority judiciously.

He says the numbers will be used to serve the public’s interest to champion causes that matter to them.

He avers this will propel Ghana towards a progressive prosperity that will compensate the masses for the confidence they reposed in the NDC at Saturday’s elections.

Addressing the press Sunday, December 08, 2024, Mr. Kwetey indicated that the party and the incoming government remain focused in its acquired mandate to serve Ghanaians responsibly.

“We have secured a very significant majority and a majority that we aim to use responsibly and for the progress of the people of Ghana,” he stated.

The NDC General Secretary further urged the Electoral Commission (EC) and its Chairperson, Jean Adukwei Mensa, to ensure that the declaration of results is not unnecessarily delayed.

Highlighting the party’s confidence in the election outcome, Fifi Kwetey asserted that the NDC’s victory was decisive and undeniable.

“The process as far as the presidential result is also concerned, we will urge the chairperson of the Electoral Commission, Jean Mensa and her team to make sure the declaration is not unduly delayed because we know for a fact that nothing can be done about it because it is already in the bag,” he added.
