A five-bedroom apartment has been razed by fire at Wenchi Akrobi in the Wenchi Municipality of the Bono Region.
Items running into several thousands of cedis have been destroyed completely in the fire.
Desmond Ngmenasom, one of the fire victims says properties ranging from fridges, mattresses, clothes, cooking utensils, furniture along with huge sums of money were destroyed in the fire.
Wenchi-based Radio West Africa’s Nana Anfreh Damanta reports personnel from the Wenchi Ghana National Service did their best to bring the fire under control.
It is unclear what caused the fire.
