The National Health Insurance Authority (NHIA) in the Western North Region has been ranked second on the national performance league table for the 2025 operational year.
Speaking at the 2025 Annual Performance Review held on Wednesday, March 4, 2026, the Regional Director, Frank Duku, announced that the region had successfully achieved Universal Health Coverage targets.
He explained that the regional target was 780,660, but the NHIA in the Western North Region exceeded expectations by registering 1,311,568 active members.
Mr. Duku further revealed that four operational districts from the region were ranked among the top 20 nationally in population coverage for 2025.
He attributed the achievement to the hard work, unity, and dedication of management and staff across the region.
“The success we are witnessing today is the result of teamwork and commitment. As we move into 2026, we must maintain this momentum and continue working together to overcome challenges,” Mr. Duku stated.
He encouraged all management members and staff to put in even greater effort in 2026 to ensure continuous improvement and stronger performance for the Western North Region.
