The Western North Regional Minister, Wilbert Petty Brentum, has hailed Bibiani Goldstars Football Club for their historic triumph in the 2024/2025 Ghana Premier League season.
The club clinched their first league title with an emphatic 4-0 victory over Accra Lions on the final day of the season at the packed Dun’s Park in Bibiani.
Wilbert Petty Brentum congratulated the team on their commitment, dedication, throughout the season, describing the achievement as a historic not only for Bibiani Goldstars but for the entire Western North Region.
He observed that the team’s success is a clear demonstration of what determination, discipline, and teamwork can accomplish.
“The victory has elevated the region’s name on the national sports map and brought a great sense of pride to the people,”he said.
He also praised the technical team, club management, and the loyal supporters whose combined efforts contributed to the club’s success.
Mr Brentum was happy about the sacrifices made by all stakeholders and stressed that the collective spirit of the community was key in driving the team to victory.
He said that the players demonstrated outstanding performance, resilience, and sportsmanship throughout the campaign.
“Their passion and hard work have not only brought glory to the region, but have also ignited hope and inspiration in countless young footballers across the Western North,” he said.
The Minister appealed to the team to remain focused and continue striving for excellence in future competitions, calling on them to use this victory as a foundation for even greater achievements.
