“When the righteous are in authority, the people rejoice: but when the wicked beareth rule, the people mourn,” as stated in Proverbs 29:2, were the words of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, when he visited Asuti South in the Ahafo region.

The running mate to Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, who is also known as NAPO, during a courtesy call on the chiefs and people of Hwidiem in Asutifi South as part of his tour to the Ahafo region, said that the NDC government has nothing good to offer Ghanaians.

According to him, certain comments from John Mahama at the time he was President, and certain decisions he took, subjected Ghanaians into suffering.

He said Mahama did not do anything for Ghanaians, saying that the supposed Kejetia Market he boasts of was began by former President Kufuor which he (Mahama) completed.

Aside from that, NAPO stated that the NDC abandoned all hospitals which were started by Kufuor, until the NPP’s return which got them completed, before initiating the Agenda 111 hospitals on top.

“The Bible said it and if the Bible is lying, then I’m lying. It says if a good man leads a nation, the nation fares well and if a wicked man rules, the people mourn.

“Clergy, we shouldn’t allow those who create divide to rule. In 2020, someone said if we stop charging mobile phones, we will get power when people said they needed electricity power. He placed a ban on employment and said even if he gives Ashanti people a golden street, we won’t vote for him so he won’t do it. He claims he built the Kejetia Market. That was started by President Kufuor for 8 years before he came to continue,” he said Tuesday, September 10, 2024.

He continued that “the NDC did not continue any of the hospitals Kufuor started but when the NPP came, we have completed all of them. And we are building an additional 111 hospitals. Is it not nurses that will be employed there? There is a good government and a useless government.”
