A branch executive of the National Democratic Congress in the Sehwi Bodi Constituency, Bernard Bukure, has placed an interlocutory injunction on the constituency election slated for Saturday, October 22, 2022, at Sehwi Bodi in the Western North Region.
The Sehwi Wiawso High Court ordered that an injunction be put on the NDC constituency election in the Bodi Constituency due to what is described as unfair treatment meted out to the incumbent Chairman and Youth Organiser during vetting warranting their disqualification from the contest.
The plaintiff, Bernard Bukure, a branch executive of Kwadwobikrom claims an order of disqualification of Hayford Aha and Philip Assuah who are the current constituency Chairman and Youth Organiser of the Sehwi Bodi constituency respectively.
The plaintiff noted the manner with which the vetting committee ousted the duo from the polls contravenes the constitution and guiding principles of the party and must therefore must be declared null and void.
Also, Bukure wants the court to declare the outcome of the constituency vetting of Sehwi Bodi irrelevant.
