World Vision Ghana, in collaboration with six strategic partners, has launched a three-year initiative dubbed Transforming Household Resilience in Vulnerable Environments (THRIVE 2030).
The project aims to build household resilience, improve incomes, and promote sustainable livelihoods across rural and peri-urban communities in Ghana.
The partners- VisionFund Ghana, Farm Concern International, Ghana Commodity Exchange, Fairtrade Africa, Pangea Africa, and Esoko formalized the partnership through a memorandum of understanding signed at WVG’s Accra office on June 3.
According to Justice Tiiga, Programme Manager of THRIVE 2030, the project will focus on transforming mindsets, enabling participants to develop household business plans and work toward escaping poverty.
The initiative is targeting 160,000 households in 2025 across 14 districts in 7 regions, with a broader goal of helping over 400,000 people double their income by 2027.
WVG’s interim National Director, Jean-Claude Mukadi, emphasized the collaboration’s goal of building resilient and empowered communities, stating, “Together, we can progress into a world which includes resilience and livelihood for the many families we serve.”
