Minority Leader, Dr. Cassiel Ato Baah Forson, has mocked President Akufo-Addo’s recent ministerial reshuffle saying Ghana now has two Finance Ministers.
The Minority Leader says the Akufo-Addo-Bawumia government has been a failure and the President’s attempt to absolve the Vice President from the administration’s challenges is unheard of.
These were part of Dr. Ato Forson’s statement in Parliament Tuesday, February 27, 2024 after President Akufo-Addo’s State of the Nation address.
He took a swipe at the reshuffle saying he has ballooned the size of his government which was expected to see a cut after effecting the changes.
The Ajumako Enyan Essiam lawmaker criticised the increasing unemployment in the country with the size of government getting bigger all the time.
He expressed his confidence in the NPP government leaving office after the December 7 election, telling the President that he and his Vice are not going to be missed by Ghanaians.
“The President cannot fail alone. He has failed with his Vice Alhaji Bawumia. We can only wish you bye-bye but you’ll never be missed,” Dr. Ato Forson told the President.
