Two persons have died while 14 others have been rescued in a road accident at Kpetoe-Sarakope on the Accra – Aflao Highway.
The deceased, one male and one female, were confirmed dead at the Ho Teaching Hospital after the accident which occurred on Saturday, September 26, 2026, along the Kpetoe-Sarakope stretch.
Firefighters from the Kpetoe Fire Station responded to the accident involving the Hyundai H100 bus carrying 12 passengers and a Ford tractor with two occupants, with both vehicles travelling from Kpetoe towards Aflao.
A statement issued by the Public Relations Unit of the Ghana National Fire Service in Volta Region said its personnel rescued all 14 occupants and handed them over to the National Ambulance Service and the Ghana Police Service for conveyance to the hospital for medical attention.
The GNFS has urged motorists to exercise caution, avoid improper overtaking and adhere strictly to road safety regulations.
