Ghana’s Black Princesses came from a goal down to beat their Tanzanian counterparts 2-1 in the ongoing African Games.

The game, played at the Cape Coast Sports Stadium on Tuesday, March 12, was the second for the two sides.

Ghana won their first game 1-0 against Ethiopia while the Tanzanians had drawn one all with Uganda in an East African derby on Day 1.

Striker Aisha Juma Mnunka opened the score in the first half, sending a scare not only among the players but also the fans.

But Tracy Twum restored parity for the Princesses before the break to bring back the needed hope.

Captain Mukarama Abdulai got the winner in the second half to send her team to the semi-finals with a game to spare.

Ghana’s final match will be against Uganda on Friday while Tanzania face off with Ethiopia for a place in the semis, which are scheduled for Monday, March 18.
