Felix Kwakye Ofosu, an Aide to John Dramani Mahama, the flag bearer of the opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC) has said the upcoming elections is a done deal for his party.

According to him, the poor performance of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) will send them to opposition, saying the Vice President who is the flag bearer of the NPP will lose the polls even if he put on a referendum.

He explains the numerous people who have been rendered unemployed by the government through its banking sector cleanup, as well as the millions who suffered through the infamous Domestic Debt Exchange amongst others, will not vote for Bawumia.

During a one-on-one with Captain Smart on Onua TV’s morning show, Maakye, Tuesday, November 05, 2024, he said even if only Bawumia remains on the ballot for Ghanaians to cast a ‘yes or no’ ballot on him, he would still lose.

“If Bawumia contests this election unopposed, he will lose because it will be “YES or NO” and people will vote no against him. Will the 1.3 million people he has taken their money and cannot pay vote for him?

“Captain, you’ve followed politics for some decades now, have you ever heard pensioners demonstrating to be given their monies? Have you seen a former Chief Justice appointed by the government itself demonstrating against the same government? Will the 2 million unemployed youth vote for Bawumia?

“The Ghana Statistical Service says 1.9 million which is almost 2 million. Will the market women and buyers who can’t trade because of the cedi depreciation vote for Bawumia? If you are a businessman who needed 4 cedis in Mahama’s time to obtain a dollar and you now need 17 cedis, will you vote for Bawumia?” he narrated amongst other concerns.
