New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer and leader of the party, Dr Mahamudu Bawumia has congratulated the party’s newly elected national executives following the successful completion of the party’s reorganisation ahead of the 2028 presidential election.

In a statement issued on Sunday, October 4, Dr Bawumia said the elections, held in Kumasi on Saturday, October 3 were conducted in an atmosphere of peace and transparency.

He said the outcome reflected the wishes of delegates of the party and expressed confidence that the new leadership would lead the NPP into the 2028 election.

“The outcome, therefore, reflects the wishes of the delegates of the New Patriotic Party,” the statement said.

Dr Bawumia said it was the expectation of the party’s rank and file that the John Boadu-led National Executive would immediately begin preparations for the 2028 presidential election.

He also pledged his support to the new leadership to build an inclusive party structure capable of harnessing the talents within the NPP.

“Dr Mahamudu Bawumia on his part has committed to providing the necessary support to the new leadership to run an inclusive system that allows all the talents in the party to be harnessed for victory in 2028,” the statement said.

The NPP flagbearer further stressed the need for the party to utilise all available talent as it prepares for the next general election.

“In victory or in defeat, no talent should be left out in the 2028 campaign,” he said.

The newly elected national executives are expected to lead the party’s organisational activities as it begins preparations for the 2028 elections.
