According to reports, on Friday, May 5, 2023, they attended a vigil (wake keeping) at Twifo Jankobo, a nearby community to Twifo Wawase.

After the wake keeping, the two boarded the same taxi back to their hometown when the suspect, Salinco, complained of his his missing mobile phone.

After moments of searching through the car, the victim found the missing phone for the suspect.
