Ashanti Regional Chairman for the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi has openly endorsed Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia as the 2024 flagbearer of the ruling party.
He made the public announcement when the Vice President visited Effiduase Asokore to commission a six unit classroom block.
“The NPP belongs to polling station agents, coordinators and constituency executives; if all these people are saying they want Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia to be the 2024 flagbearer of the NPP, then whom am I to say no?”
“The delegates gave me the regional chairmanship position to support Dr Mahamudu Bawumia”
Vice President Mahamudu Bawumia would is hoping to lead the NPP to the 2024 polls as its flagbearer.
Even though several others have shown interest in the race, keen to contest in the party’s primaries is John Alan Kwadwo Kyerematen.
