Barnabas Ahialey, alias CBwoy Majik, a native of Dzodze Adagbledu in the Volta Region is seeking protection from the security agencies to walk from Ghana to Nigeria.
The activity is neither a sport nor a physical health exercise but rather a spiritual journey in honour of his ancestors.
The 29-year-old Anlo indigene has already made three journeys –walked from Sogakope to Accra, Sogakope to Dzodze and Dzodze to Anloga –says he wants to make a historic journey from Ghana to Ille Ife in Ghana where his forefathers came from.
He made the revelation to OnuaOnline in an exclusive interview after taking a 60km walk from Dzodze to Anloga in 8 hours, a journey he termed ‘Ancestors Walk’ during the 60th Anlo Hogbetsotso Festival celebration on Friday, November 4, 2022.

After meeting the traditional authority representing the Awɔmefia of Anlo State, Togbe Sri III and delivering a special message to them, Mr. Ahialey, who believes he is a reincarnation, told OnuaOnline his vision is to walk from Ghana to Ille Ife in Nigeria, a 4 days 18hours journey which he is confident of making it in three days.
Significance of the walk he indicated is to honour the walk of his forebears from Sudan, through to Mali, Nigeria, Togo, Benin before finally settling in Ghana.
“11 September it was all over social media that someone walked from Sogakope to Accra and some people were doubting it so I decided to do more than what I did in the past,” he said after Ancestors walk from Dzodze to Anloga.
He added also that “I want to tell all Ghanaians that soon I’ll be going to Notse on foot and I’m planning to go to Ille Ife too, Nigeria, on foot which will take me almost 4 days 18 hours on the way but I believe I’ll reach there within three days.”
“I already walked from Sogakope to Accra within 17 hours 32 mins on 11 September 2022. This is my third walk. I actually walked from Sogakope to Dzodze within 7 hours 56 mins which was supposed to be 11 hours 11 mins. I’ll need a National Security protection. By all means I’ll be walking through darkness and I want someone to be escorting me. And I’ll also need some financial support,” he relayed.
