Ghana Premier League giants Asante Kotoko continue their aggressive trading on the transfer market, the latest being the signing on of Congolese defender Ndongani Samba Gilbani Oneil.

The Rahimo FC captain was snapped up by the Porcupine Warriors on a two-year deal.

The tall defender is said to have completed his medicals in Kumasi on Thursday, July 11.

Samba Gilbani expressed joy in joining “big” club Asante Kotoko.

“I am thrilled to be here because Kotoko is a big club,” he said.

“When my manager informed me of Kotoko’s interest, I immediately instructed him to halt any discussions with other clubs so I could focus on coming here.

“I am committed to proving my quality on the pitch and helping the team win the league.”

The Congolese made 34 appearances across all competitions for Rahimo FC in Burkina Faso, contributing four assists and scoring two goals.

He comes in the wake of the signing on of two Sudanese – Abdoelkareem Yagoub and Esmat Hassalbalbagi – by the Porcupine Warriors.
